Open doors are good for business and bad for heating bills. The Dimplex AC3W is designed to fix that. Installed above a single doorway, it projects a directed curtain of warm air at 6.2m/s, creating a thermal barrier that limits cold air ingress and keeps the entrance comfortable without forcing the door closed on customers. At 50.5dB(A), the AC3W runs quietly enough for retail counters, reception areas, and other customer-facing environments where background noise matters. Fan-only mode means it earns its keep in warmer months too, not just winter.
Smart controls via ConfigR app - thermostat, timer and boost
The AC3W must be commissioned via the free Dimplex ConfigR app before first use: this is a mandatory step. Once done, day-to-day operation is straightforward: onboard rocker switches give direct access to fan-only, half-heat (1.3kW) and full-heat (3kW) modes without returning to the app. The ConfigR app unlocks more precise control - a digitally adjustable thermostat (7–32°C), a seven-day programmable timer, and advance and boost functions that let the heater run to trading hours automatically. A supercapacitor retains the time and date for 3–4 days during a power outage; if exhausted while in Schedule mode, the time is reset via the app. An optional Bluetooth remote (ACWRMC, sold separately) allows wireless operation alongside the app and onboard controls.
